Situated on the Riviera Maya, this luxury resort has long been a leader in sustainability, as evidenced by its membership to the UN Global Compact. To combat the sargassum challenge impacting its beaches, ecosystems, and guest experience, our project partners with the resort to upcycle the biomass into biochar and compost.

This process restores the coastline, reduces carbon emissions through landfill diversion, and supports regenerative farming at a local orchard, empowering 150+ women and making a direct impact on both the environment and the community.
